Matt Staver is Chairman and Founder of Liberty Counsel, former Vice President of Liberty University; former dean Liberty University School of Law and Chairman of the Board of The Salt & Light Council. Most recently Liberty Counsel led the lawsuit on behalf of Pastor Che Ahn of Harvest Rock Church and Harvest International Ministry in which the state of California settled making it possible for all California churches to hold worship services without restrictions. California Gov. Gavin Newsom was the first governor to have a permanent injunction levied against him on behalf of houses of worship.
